With a renowned fisheries and wildlife program, our new shooting sports team and numerous outdoor recreation opportunities, Valley City State University offers the perfect place for outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy their hobbies and pursue their careers.
We are excited to offer competitive shooting as a coed intercollegiate sport for students starting with the 2024-25 season. Shooting sports was previously a student-led club on campus, but now will join a list of successful intercollegiate teams at VCSU. Tuition assistance is available for members of the shooting sports team.
“I encourage any student interested in joining the Shooting Sports Team to come visit VCSU to tour our facilities and learn more about our team’s tuition assistance program,” Team Coach and Professor Dr. Nick Galt said. “Members of our VCSU Trap Club have been competitive at the state level for years and I’m excited to see how the new Shooting Sports Team can take that participation to the next level.”
