Southeastern Illinois College

At Southeastern Illinois College, you can take your passion for trapshooting to the next level with our Clay Breakers Trapshooting Team. But that’s not all!

SIC also has a competitive Archery Team– some students participate in both sports. SIC has a trap field, as well as indoor and outdoor archery ranges on campus! And you could qualify for scholarships and annual incentives, but act fast because spots are limited and highly competitive.

Looking for even more adventure? Discover our hands-on Outfitter Wildlife Management Program at SIC! Here’s what’s in store for you:

  • Hands-On Learning: Monitor wildlife populations, identify species, and learn about wildlife science at the college level.
  • Practical Skills: Clean fish and deer, build stands, set up camp, cook outdoors, and hone your hunting skills.
  • Real-World Experience: Participate in prescribed burns, biodiversity surveys, habitat management, and much more!

Plus, you’ll visit stunning locations like the Shawnee National Forest and Illinois’ Department of Natural Resources lands, and work on habitat improvement projects throughout Southern Illinois.
